I am in here.

I suppose this is stubbornness in the face of.. what? The real world? The actual scientific process?

I find their insistence on the absolute literalness of the Bible despite all evidence to the contrary (no, the value of pi is not equal to 3) to be very … interesting, in a highly disturbing and creepy way.

The New York Times > National > A New Screen Test for Imax: It’s the Bible vs. the Volcano
The fight over evolution has reached the big, big screen.

Several Imax theaters, including some in science museums, are refusing to show movies that mention the subject – or the Big Bang or the geology of the earth – fearing protests from people who object to films that contradict biblical descriptions of the origin of Earth and its creatures.

Bible “literalists” freak me out :
i find it nearly as hypocritical as the Catholic Church. Some seem to think that saying you are “Christian” is enough. Bah.

while i believe that it’s your right to practice any religion ( or not! ) you want, i also think it shouldn’t involve me. nowadays, that’s asking alot, i guess….

You’re right — religion shouldn’t involve anyone other than the person who decides to follow it.
