The minutiae of cancer recovery

I seem to have passed a small, insignificant (to others) milestone in my cancer recovery. I have finally grown out enough hair that people who don’t know about my cancer think that I’m simply making a fashion statement with my short summer “haircut.” That comment made me feel embarassed and annoyed at first until I realized its implications:

I no longer look like a cancer patient! Yay!
