No matter how much I try to lose myself in my writing, it never turns out to be possible. Has anyone else noticed that? I’m not talking about writer’s block. I don’t have that. I mean, writing what’s not an escape: either I do that, or I write mediocre stuff. Good mediocre stuff, but still, mediocre.
