Info

I am in here.

I have been freeloading, I must confess, on our neighbors’ WiFi connection. However, it doesn’t entirely work… I can use any internet program on it that I wish to, with the exception of a web browser. It is the same on both of my computers. (And there shall be no silly questions as to why I take two computers with me on vacation.)

So I sit here outside the (closed) library, freeloading off of them. And all that I have to talk about is my freeloading ways.

I think the universe is trying to tell me something.

Since they are a library, I am sure they have a web filtering proxy in place. Why don’t you pay them a visit during the day and check out how their internet is configured on the public access computers and use those settings for your web surfing.

Only 2 computers? Did you count you iPhone?

Damn, forgot the iPhone. 3 computers then. I seem to have found something called a “netbook” during the time a couple of weeks ago that Dobby the MacBook Pro had its logic board die suddenly.

I like savoring the difference between the 2 operating systems. Buck likes the arcanery of the municipal bond market. We need help :P

I’d figure out the proxies, but the library wifi doesn’t extend to the house we’re in. One of our neighbors (not sure which) seems to have his settings permanently set against web browsing, all day as well as all night. Fortunately, the library is nearby.

    Hmm,

Always be careful on an open connection – you never know who is reading the through-traffic.
