Perhaps one of the biggest advancements technology can make in our lives comes when we realize the power of simply turning it off for a while.

Remember that every son had a mother whose beloved son he was, and every woman had a mother whose beloved son she wasn’t.
Why I like writing fiction better than writing nonfiction
A friend of mine writes nonfiction. She has just turned her latest book in, and is now going through a grueling process of having the fact-checkers at her publishers go through every word and every minute of recorded interviews.
As for me, I write my memoirs. Is this fiction? No, not really. Is this nonfiction? No, not really.
I did not have a tape recorder going during my waking hours. I did, for the most part, not have a tape recorder. Can I remember every word said? I do not have Truman Capote’s facility with accurate memory. The best I can do is remember it as well as I can, and not be afraid of the memories.

Writing is a struggle against silence.
The book choices
As for the Reading I Did Choose…
Several:
- A Clash of Kings because I’m addicted to it, and so is my son, and I have to keep up with him.
- Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult, which I have already skimmed through.
- Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel. I had totally forgotten that this book was just released. I continue with the intertwined lives of Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
That seems to be it for now.

Got fed up with need to "unlock" documents in Lion. Found option to disable it, stupidly located in SP>Time Machine>Options.—
