Just went to iTunes and am downloading a pile of Peter, Paul and Mary, among other things. “Day is Done” is going thru the earphones as I type.
When I was in college, at Vanderbilt, I spent those 4 years also being a DJ at WRVU, Nashville. I got early, sort-of early morning shifts. I’d play this song many times (not all at once). I loved folk then and now, and the Ten Years Later album (we had vinyl then) (shut up about how old I am) was one of my favorites when it came time to find an oldie.
Early in the morning, I alone in the whole station, the studio monitors on as loud as I could stand, the next record cued up, and this song playing and playing…
