A lovely brunch, hobbling to a table in front, the waitress and me trying how best to place my foot so it does not obstruct traffic. I had not considered myself to be an obstacle before. Perhaps I am simply a piece of human-shaped furniture. It will be nice when I don’t have to plan every day down to the steps I might or might not have to take.
Got the thank-you cards printed… examples can be seen several entries below this. I made the one H red – it needed some color. I hope it all balances out. My mother dies, and I worry about the aesthetics of her card. Yup, just about what she would have done.
Now I am watching a movie called waydowntown about some people who have a bet on who can last the longest without going outside. I’m starting to sympathize with them all. And quite a lot, I think, with the guy who is stapling slogans to his chest.
