Resignation letters..

In which we decide that Australians moving to Israel is a very good idea indeed….

via Israellycool, Arafat’s response to Qurei’s resignation letter:

Dear Ahmey,

Thanks for your letter of resignation. However, after careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your resignation at this time.

This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of resignation letters. As you may recall, Mahmey Abbas resigned earlier this year, bringing the total number of resignations by a Palestinian PM to one, a record number in the proud history of our people.

Despite your outstanding record in quitting, I find that your resignation does not meet my standards. In order to stop being Palestinian PM, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Shot, hung, beheaded, stoned, or burned for being an Israeli or US collaborator
  • Shot, hung, beheaded, stoned or burned for any other reason whatsoever
  • Fired by me, and replaced by either one of my relatives, or any other person I deem corrupt fit enough to pretend lead our people

Therefore, I cannot accept your resignation. See you in the office tomorrow!
