PA Abuses of Children

Via Israel Defense Forces – The Official Website

Three incidents of child abuse were reported in the past few months, where Palestinian boys were sent to carry out terrorist attacks or terrorist-supportive activities:

  1. Suicide attack in Israel by a 17-year-old Palestinian who exploded near the village of Jinsfot (east to Kalkilya).
  2. Shooting attack in Afula by three Palestinians aged 13-15; the three were detained at an IDF checkpoint in Jenin;
  3. Smuggling of Egyptian weapons at Rafah by Palestinians aged 11-14.

These incidents are indicative of this gruesome trend of child abuse to achieve terrorist goals:

Children and youth have been incited against Israel, since the onset of the current conflict, and recruited to carry out attacks, including suicide attacks, and take part in violent and terrorist-supportive activities (riots, clashes with IDF soldiers, smuggling, observations, tunnel digging).

This trend received heavy criticism from PA officials and civil Palestinian representatives, but the PA has failed to take effective measures against it, and even used wounded children and youth to promote both domestic and foreign public opinion.
