Compare and contrast:

  1. The pro-Nazi attitude of many of the British intelligentsia prior to WWII.
  2. The pro-Palestinian attitude of today’s American Left.

  1. I’m sorry…you’re probably a very nice person & all but your exam is a load of crap.

    The American Left’s attitude toward Israel is far different than was that of the so called British intelligentsia (what does that phrase mean anyway?) before WWII toward Nazi Germany.

    I consider myself part of the American LEft (though not a wild eyed anti Zionist) & I resent the comparison. I love Israel which is why I’m horrified at the horrible predicament both Israel & Palestine have manuvered themselves into. I consider myself both pro-Israeli & pro-Palestinian. I bet that knocks you for a loop. Probaby you’ll think I’m some wild eyed radical idealist. But I’m also a pragmatist which you’ll probaby dismiss outright.

    And I resent being lumped in with all the representatives of the American Left whom you seem to detest.

    If you have a quarrel with a specific person or group you should single them out & not lump a whole category of people into a single category which you can conveniently denounce.
