Rain. January.

This weather will be the death of me… the death of my soul if not my body. With my inborn tendency to depression, the cumulative effect that this weather has on me is to make me feel like someone dear to me has just died. I’ve been fighting it all day.

So original posting may be light. I’ll try to put up some things that’ll cheer me up, at least.

  1. I have heard that exposure to bright light helps combat the blues.

I think they call it SAD (Seasonal Affected Depression) or some such.

    I hate dark days too.

  2. Might consider the rain washing the earth – and dark days for cozy clothes, good books and regrouping…

  3. Hey – The sun came out (Friday morning)! Cold & sunny beats warm & wet any day.

The Little Miami flooded hwy 32 in two different places, making our travel out here a bit more cumbersome. And it’s interesting to see how Turpin Farms & Clear Creek have turned into a small lake.

  4. I wish I could get out that way — must be lots of shorebirds and stuff out there now 🙂

  5. I always find this to be the hardest part of the year, especially if there’s no snow. A good snowstorm is always a nice diversion from gray, dreary and cold. Hope you feel better soon.
