Every channel this morning – and I mean every channel – ran a story about the $40 million that President Bush’s inauguration is expected to cost. One channel went so far as to lay out all of the other things the money could be used for. But not one – not one! – pointed out that the bulk of the money is coming from private sources.
Not to mention the fact that, if the President had only the most minimum possible celebrations at his Inaugural, he’d be lambasted for being a cheapskate. He just can’t win even when he’s not doing anything wrong.
