I have been moving my music files around like so many blocks on a floor, it seems — that’s what it feels like, instead of rearranging electrons on copper disks. It would seem that iTunes requires a deauthorization/authorization process, and merely having one’s (legally purchased) music files on one’s computer doesn’t mean one can listen to the things.
But with a few strokes of the keyboard, I heard Erik Satie’s Trois Gymnopédies No. 1, Lent et Douloureux coming from the little machine’s tiny internal speakers. But now I am worried; whenever something goes as it should, I always worry. Should computers work this well? Perhaps I am just scarred by my years of Windoze usage.
