Even worse

Much worse than I’d imagined. The boy’s 15-year-old brother (the one who was washing blood off of himself at the fountain) has been charged in the murder.

What do I say to my friend? What do I do?

    I know what you are going through because the boys you are talking about are my first cousins. This is a very hard time for the family, but I believe all of us are so happy to have people like you to help support us. Like you I also did not know what to say to my uncle (the boys father) but I realized that it was good enough to just see him. Since you are friends with an aunt I know that my mother, who like your friend is an aunt of the boys, has been just talking about it with her friends, and I know it helps her to feel better to talk.
