The day after

So it turns out that it wasn’t my friend’s son that was murdered; it was her nephew. No less horrible, of course.

The boy would have been a classmate of my son’s this fall at the Univ. of Colorado.

I worry about the surviving brothers, who each face radically different lives now. But of course, only one of them had a choice in the matter.

Snippet from the current coverage…

The 16-year-old murder suspect is due in court in downtown Cincinnati on June 2nd. At that point a judge will hear evidence to determine if the boy will be tried as an adult.

The Warrington family made it clear they support their son who now faces murder, as they plan a funeral, trying to find a way to say goodbye to their oldest son, Johnny.
