OK, so baseball started last night. I’m still pissed at that, because we, here in Cincinnati, have always (theoretically) had the right to have the very first game of the season.
We always start at home, though, which is nice. They haven’t taken that away from us. Time to quit feeling so aggrieved, especially since I don’t plan to go to the game anyway.
Others of my household, however, do have such plans. Buck has gotten Peter, a friend, and himself tickets, and are about to leave. Too early, you say, for baseball? Ah, but you forget all the ceremonies of the day: the parade, the opening ceremonies (complete with POTUS), and then the game.
I stay home and wait for the couch delivery man to show up. Trust me, I would rather do that. At the very least, it’s a lovely day, after some hugely awful storms late last night.
I hope we win… I just don’t want to be there to see it.
