Too much sun was had by Yours Truly yesterday, quite unintentionally. I love sitting out by the pool at the club, and I needed to do much reading yesterday, so I thought I’d combine the two.
Though, since my father had much trouble all his life from skin cancer, I prefer to do my “sunning” in the shade. Accordingly, I arranged my chair under a big umbrella and read away, giving the brightness no thought other than to wish I’d brought some sunglasses as well as a hat.
Result: I am a Veritable Lobster™! What I forgot: sun bounces off of water and concrete. I’d also forgotten how much sunburns bother the whole body… I’m a mass of aches.
Today: do the reading on the nice cool shady sheltered porch.
