Clarification through Eric's question

Eric asked a good question in the comments to the previous post, which gives me an opportunity to clarify the sign in the toilet further.

I was just talking to a friend of mine who completed chemo a year ago. He managed to work through the whole process (showing amazing will and fortitude). More importantly, he told me that now, a year after the chemo ended, he feels as if he’s 99% back to normal, both physically and mentally. He has a few left over effects that will be with him forever, but he’s quite sure in his own mind that the rigors and horrors of chemo, as well as chemo’s apparently small legacy, were worth it.
