So where I was on Friday: getting the fluid around my left lung removed or aspirated or whatever they call it. So my left lung bottom re-expands. Now, you medical people know that this means I started to cough (which is normal) for the next 2 or three hours (which is not normal). This disturbed the good people of the Day-Patient ward where I was.
By the time they got the coughing mostly quiet, they tried discharging me (hah). I couldn’t take the first step away from table. This dismayed them, and me, and Buck.
To cut several hours out of this story, they decided (correctly) that I was too dehydrated and exhausted, and kept me overnight, meanwhile pumping me full of fluid baggies. Saturday, I was a New Woman, my BP was excellent, and I left amidst a cloud of applause (not really). It was good to get home. Now, back to my television…
