Fourmile Canyon fire

Around 10:30 this morning, a large forest fire broke out near here in an area called Fourmile Canyon. It’s heading away from where we are, as far as I can tell from the news reports.

Of course, I had to take a few pictures. That’s the smoke from the fire coming up behind the Front Range.

  2. Yes, it’s hard to avoid. Yesterday, the smoke covered about half the sky, and you can’t avoid the smell of burning wood. But, as far as I can tell, it is traveling mostly away from where we are right now.
