Morning in Jerusalem

So I wake up here in Yerushalayim to find out that California has recalled its governor and installed the son of a Nazi instead. I have to digest this. It seems to mean more hard-core Republicanism in a country that has already had too much of that attitude.

“We will take care of you as long as you can take care of yourself.” Right.

Here we are hoping for no war with Syria, even though it aids and abets Hizbollah. We get used to security searches as we wander into the local shopping mall to browse. And we’re interested to find that the world thinks that it’s Israel that’s the enemy.

There’s just no figuring people.
