Archimedes

I’ve been sitting in on Steve’s History of Math class – been a favorite subject of mine for a long time. Monday, they went over the approximation of pi using a technique developed by Archimedes that involves inscribing polygons inside the circle with an ever-increasing number of sides, for greater and greater accuracy. I missed that, so I hope they’re not entirely through with Archimedes or pi this morning.

Then, my perhaps-last visit to the bone doctor. Crossin’ my fingers…
