Firefox drawing fans away from Microsoft IE | CNET News.com
Open-source browsers Mozilla and Firefox have won over a significant number of defectors from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in the past nine months, Web site metrics suggest.
And about time, too. I’ve talked with lots of people lately whose PCs are buggy, running badly, full of adware, doing strange things they can’t stop and have to spend hours cleaning up after. I ask them, “Do you use Internet Explorer?” And they invariably answer that they do.
So I tell them to get Firefox. It’s free. It has many plugins and themes and customization possibilities. And it hasn’t got the security problems of IE.
So go download.
