These last three months of the year I have a particular problem with: the sunlight is waning, and there’s no rationalization possible.
During the first half of the year, the sunlight time increases, though it’s hard to tell at first. For the next three months, even though the sunlight time is dwindling, there’s still more sunlight than night. Now, no such thing. I grit my teeth until the winter solstice.
Time to immerse myself in history and Tanach. You can’t have sunlight all the time — it’s too distracting.
