Islam’s intent

So much for Islam being the religion of peace.

Iran’s New President Issues A Challenge

From the Times Online: IRAN’S ultra-conservative President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, threw down a challenge to the West yesterday by declaring that his election victory marked the dawn of a new Islamic revolution that would spread around the world.

“Thanks to the blood of the martyrs, a new Islamic revolution has arisen and the Islamic revolution of 1384 [the current Iranian year] will, if God wills, cut off the roots of injustice in the world,” he said. “The wave of the Islamic revolution will soon reach the entire world.”

I think the peace that they intend is the somnolence and passivity that come from complete conformity.

  1. Islam doesn’t mean, never meant “peace”… it means, always meant “submission”…

Look up what the US Marines were doing in Lebanon in July 15, 1958. That’s when the Islamists started fighting the US…

  2. I know that it means “submission” — I just keep hearing all of its apologists saying now that “Islam is the religion of peace.” I want to contradict that notion.

  3. What’s going on in Iran now is spooky, threatening. I don’t hear any Islamic rhetoric about peace, it’s all about taking out the ‘other guys.’ Maybe the average person on the street wants peace, but all the leaders seem to want to wage war on the infidels (being defined as whoever is against the leadership).
