Murray over at Silent Running makes a good case for racial profiling. The concept, as an abstract, raises my hackles (to coin a cliché). But I’m not only not able to come up with a counterargument (just for the sake of arguing, you know, because it’s such fun!), I’m agreeing with it all.

Hmmm, tell us how that works Bob.
Well you see Ken it turns out that all the terrorists come from one sub group, anyone can and will be stopped and searched at any time, the focus will be on that sub group. Evidently the number of 70 year old Anglo-Saxon grannies setting off nail bombs next to women holding babies is right down this week so they’re going to go on form.
I will keep kicking the idea around, anyway. Except now I have this very peculiar mental picture of Anglo-Saxon grannies in my head.
