  1. I do often wonder if Marilyn really came up with the many witticisms attributed to her. The one I always heard was a story that came out of her marriage to Arthur Miller. Apparently Miller’s mom took quite a shine to her, and always made chicken soup with matzoh balls, which Marilyn seemed to like. After several dinners like this, Marilyn turned to Mrs. Miller and, in her breathy voice, said, “Mrs. Miller, that was wonderful. But tell me, doesn’t the matzoh have any other edible parts?” Again, it sounds too funny to be true.
