  1. I think it is only common sense to assume that all movements of cash are monitored, particularly if the money is moved electronically.

    This is why the terror networks have developed highly elaborate schemes to move money around with a minimum of technology.

    If nothing else, the terrorists have shown they are highly adaptable (look at the IED’s in Iraq). As soon as a breach is found, they will work around it.

    This revelation is simply another embarassment to the Bush administration. I don’t really think this changed anything in Lt. Cotton’s world.

  2. Why is this an ’embarassment’ to the Bush administration? It is a malicious revelation likely to reduce the effectiveness of a terrorist tracking operation. Lt. Cotton has every right to be outraged. His world is made more dangerous by well funded terrorists.
