Worried as I am… am I the only one?

Am I the only one worried about the war now occurring between Israel and Hezbollah/Lebanon? Of course not.

But, over the past couple of years, I seem to have turned into something of a politically conservative blogger. I decided that it’s only fair to go see what “the other side” is thinking about the war. I figure that they’re probably spouting off the usual drivel about how awful Israel is. In order to save time and energy, I head on over to that bastion of liberalness, DailyKos. I figured that, popular as that site is, I’d get a good digest there.

Summary of discussion at DailyKos about the war Israel is fighting: not a damn thing. Literally, no postings in any way related to the Middle East.

So, I guess that means that, to the liberals, nothing is happening there. Who knew?

  1. I think everyone – aside from Hamas et al – hopes for peace and the absence of war, but when the other side understands only force, and not negotiation and compromise, what can you do? It seems to me, and I’m not intimately familiar with it all, that Israel’s only choice is to respond with overwhelming force to make its point.

  2. No, you’re not the only one… Are you comfortable as a “conservative blogger?” I can’t quite get that skin to fit right.
