I am not linking to the Neulasta site because I don’t think they want it generally known how awful you feel after getting your shot of the stuff. It’s kind of like all your bones hurt, like when you get the flu. Except worse. It’s mostly gone now, and I’m feeling sort of human, or as human as you can feel while constantly carrying a small bag of 5FU, bits of which are injected into me constantly.
Good thing I love gadgets, right? Yah, well, get this: they locked the freaking thing!!! Not only is this gadget my constant companion, and is helping to save my life, I can’t press its buttons!!! They said that they have a few patients who are “like me.” I don’t think they mean esophageal cancer, either.
What I’m not supposed to like while on chemo: pizza with ground beef, sausage, capocolla, banana peppers, pepperoni, and green peppers. What I like: you guessed it. Extra provolone too.
I’m just playing this thing by ear. For further reassurance, see title of third song listed below. (Yes, I’m just kidding. But it came up on random, and I thought it was strangely cool for it to have done so.)
