No more bionics

Yup, as predicted, I got my j-tube taken out today. (It was a small, red hose-like thing that led into my jejunum, the beginning of my small intestine. It was used to give me nourishment through an outside pump.) I am now a whole, complete, and only human! No funny hose to clean and tape up every day.

But I am left with a hole in my abdomen, a dark little crater that leads down and down and….. NO! Stop it! I have to quit dwelling on this. It’s safely covered with one of Peter’s old cartoon band-aids.

But now that I am “free,” what do I do with myself? What was I doing before my diagnosis? I have to remember….
