First day of November

… And the first day of NaNoWriMo. I’ve had the first sentence done for a few weeks now, just waiting for the contest to start already.

Well, now it has, and now I am writing in earnest. I will probably be writing in here less. At least, I think I will. The blog will certainly be a wonderful way to avoid my “real” writing duties.

Now, back to the salt mines, as they say …

    Your opening sentence isn’t “It was a dark and stormy night”, is it?
