We have just this afternoon made our way to Miami Beach from Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. That’s a journey that can’t entirely be measured in miles.
Of course, I have brought back lots of pictures, and have put some of them here for you to see. Lots of obligatory sea lion pictures.
This year marks Charles Darwin’s bicentennial, and Ecuador is playing it up and doing a good job of it. Quito is a wonderful city, nestled into a valley between mountains on all sides. I had a hard time with the altitude, though.
Now, I am going to acclimate myself to my own country some more.
