I have just done a drastic and nearly, in some circles, unthinkable thing: I have deleted my Twitter account.
There: I know that you’ll be terribly alarmed at this development in my life, but trust me, it’s for the best. Now, for the logic behind my drastic decision…
I spent a small amount of time lately on Twitter, and as a result, improved my “follow” numbers quite a bit. Then, I happened to ask myself the question, “Why?” I have yet to come up with a satisfactory answer to that question. Therefore, I deleted the account.
Twitter is a curious phenomenon, and might have been entertaining some months ago when it was starting out and not quite as ubiquitous as it is now. It can spread a lot of information very quickly, but it isn’t knowledge that I need or want. As a consequence, the website is minus one member tonight.
