There is a parking lot near where we live, right in the middle of several businesses we patronize. It’s run by someone who, so the apocryphal stories go, thinks that the way to domination over the local business community is to watch the lot like a hawk, and tow anyone who hasn’t paid up right away. Well, I found out that the stories are not apocryphal.
Yes, I’m whining. But the lot does stay near empty all day, with parked cars littering the streets just past its boundaries. Maybe domination over/in the local business community does not involve harassing your customers.
