Recovering from another week of Pilates with Julie. Turns out I have a lot of core strength. I feel stronger and exhausted at the same time. I didn’t know that that combination of feelings was possible.
They tell you that when you begin a new regime of exercise, especially if you’ve not been in any such regime for years, not to expect immediate results. This is a bit cowing to an exercise beginner. But I have been at Pilates for about a month now, and my jeans are hanging nicely loose around my hips, though I have not lost any weight. Hah!
Jet lag. Back home now in Cincinnati to the regular routine, which I only vaguely remember. Oh, yes, Starbucks. Oh, right, lunch at the Rusty Bucket. And Pilates with my friend Julie just now. I think that the air conditioning at SBUX is going to have a deleterious effect on my wobbly post-Pilates muscles.
