Spring arrives

Warmer temperatures. And the antibiotics are forcing the bacteria in my lungs into a bit of a retreat. I might even be daring tonight and try sleeping in bed instead of in the armchair. (Lying flat when I’m sick makes me cough endlessly.) Actual blogging can resume now…

It’s official — just when winter’s about over, and I’m on a trip that’s proving to be enjoyable, I finally get a cold. January, Shabbat. Snow.

I’m getting used to the snow, just about in time for the spring migration of birds to start… somewhere in Central and South America, little wings are starting to flutter, and little beaks are pointing northward. They will bring spring with them, just when I am falling asleep under my blanket of snow.
