Currently watching The X from Outer Space on satellite, and wondering just how many times Tokyo was cinematically destroyed in the 1950’s. If possible, this movie has even worse special effects than the Gojira (Godzilla) ones. The token Americans are played by the same actors as in some of the Godzilla movies.
One thing that I never found out, was why people in the 1950’s and 1960’s always thought that, after travelling thousands of light-years, all anyone would want to do once they got here would be to destroy everything in sight. Deep fears of science and knowledge, I guess.
I think this particular green monster has a pair of bicycle reflectors for eyes. I wonder how it sees?
