Washingtonienne sexblogger found and sacked

Blogger’s tale of sex and woe

By Nick Farrell: Wednesday 26 May 2004, 07:50
THE SENATE AIDE who blogged her sex secrets has been named and fired. Jessica Cutler, 24, who has become better known in Washington circles as “Washingtonienne”, was fired last week from her job as an entry-level aide to Republican Senator Mike DeWine.

Her blog, which she set up so she didn’t have to write so many emails to her friends, detailed her sex-ploits in the corridors of power.

According to the Washington Post, DeWine said in a statement that Cutler had been fired for using Senate “resources and work time to post unsuitable and offensive material to an Internet Web log.”

Cutler is now talking although not naming and shaming the various men she shagged to boost her flagging income.

However she said that no-one she shagged was famous and it was all a very low level sex-scandal.

A picture of Cutler and the Washington Post interview with her can be found here – she apparently wanted to be a journalist.

  1. Simply to waste my rather dull employer’s time, I followed links, several I’m embarassed to admit, and I don’t understand why this young woman should be fired and beat about the, well, something, for simply showing a lack of discretion.

And why, may I ask, do there seem to be so many men angry about this to the point of resorting to playground taunts about her perceived attractiveness or lack there of and which oriface she favors? Surely it is not because they missed out on the antics.

If blogging is passe as your other entry suggests, it may just be due to the idiocy of certain readers, readers such as the aforementioned men than anything mere writers have done.

And, an aside, do you have the good fortune of living near would-be cicada gourmonds? Why, I myself was invided to a “seeKAYduh fraah”.

I excused myself by stating that, as a native Californian, I’d feel compelled to pay extra to eat a bug and, with gas prices being what they are, I just couldn’t leave a tip.

  2. Not sure why the men are angry, not being one. I myself am upset because Senator Mike is a friend of ours… comes from a town about an hour and a half away from us.

And I don’t know about the cicada gourmands, but I live definitely in the middle of Cicada City right now. If you end up at that Cicada Fry anyway, do report about it!
