the great unknown

I am coming to the part in my novel that I haven’t really fleshed out yet, either in my mind or in my notes. It would be typical for a writer in my position to say that she has “writer’s block.” Such a writer also says that there is nothing more frightening than the blank page/screen that stares back at you.

I say there is: the full page. Few things are scarier than facing what’s in you, and putting it on paper where anyone can see it. Most especially, you can see it, and you can’t hide from it anymore.

Okay, enough procrastination — back to my not-so-empty page.
