Snow in the morning

Woke up to a thin layer of snow, and more drifting down. It always looks like a picture-book to start with. Will still try to make it to the coffee house later, just to prevent cabin fever.

So far, still on my diet. Breakfast is orange juice and a power bar. And much advice from Buck, who used to weigh 215 pounds (age 14) and is now 158 pounds (age uh… nevermind).

  1. I picked up a book called Sugar Blues, I think you may want to read it. It will help you lose weight just by removing sugar from your diet. My doc took me off all sugar for other reasons. But worth a try.

No, cabin fever and diet don’t mix well. So get out. DSW is having a sale on clearance. Sounds odd doesn’t it. Sale on clearance. So of course I’m off to the sale on clearance. Must check this out and make sure all is well with the sale.

  2. I just got some shoes there, and one pair gave me a small blister, so I’m peeved at the whole store right now. Ah, well.

I read that a long time ago, Sugar Blues. Don’t know if it’s possible to give up!

  3. You know, I dropped over twenty pounds about 5 years ago, and it’s stayed off.

First thing that went was the cheap sugar stuff, especially soft drinks. Now I drink diet everything.

Exercise (hate the word) really helps. The trick is to find something you like.

Oh yeah, and stay away from ‘special’ coffees. I remember one very tasty mochaccino slathered with whipped cream — that was the equivalent of 2 meals….

  4. You forget that I live in the land of Graeter’s Ice Cream… What do I do about that, Ruben? 😦
