Latest official figures: more than 50 dead
More than 700 people were injured, of whom 350 were treated at the scenes of the various explosions and a further 350 were taken to hospital.
Of the wounded, around 100 victims stayed overnight in four hospitals across London. Of those, 22 remain in a serious or critical condition.
According to the Metropolitan Police the number of dead is expected to rise as officers continue to examine the wreckage from the bombs at King’s Cross and Tavistock Place. One patient died overnight in hospital.

The latest figures from the individual bombings (these have not been officially updated since yesterday afternoon and are expected to change):
King’s Cross: 21 killed.
Aldgate East: 7 killed.
Edgware Road: 7 killed.
Tavistock Place: 2 killed.
The Hospitals:
The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel: 020 7377 7000 Treated 100 patients, of whom 26 victims were still being treated, with seven in intensive care.
The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead: 020 7794 0500 Treated 61 patients from the bomb attacks. Of those, 13 were admitted and all were in a stable condition although one person was serious but stable. Five patients had surgery.
St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington: 020 7886 6666 Treated 38 victims yesterday, of whom 17 suffered serious injuries and 13 had minor injuries. A further 6 people lost their limbs.
The University College Hospital, Bloomsbury: 020 7387 9300 Treated 60 patients. Some 27 remain in the hospital, and a number are having operations today. Four people are in intensive care, including one who has yet to be identified.
Great Ormond Street Hospital, Bloomsbury: 0207 405 9200 Treated 22 casualties from the bombings yesterday, four stayed overnight. No children.
St Thomas’ and St Guy’s NHS Trust: 020 7188 7188 Treated 21 patients yesterday. Three of the patients were critically injured, seven had major injuries and 11 had minor injuries. This morning, 11 patients remain in the hospital. One patient is in a critical condition.
