If I Don’t Have Several Books on My Reading List at Any Given Time,
… I simply feel empty and worthless. This possibly hints too much at my views on the importance of reading fiction in one’s life.
But in any case, I have now read and skimmed as much of A Game of Thrones as I intend. I enjoy the books but the man is no Tolkien. Close, but no cigar. Now, to look at possible candidates.
Possible Titles to Consider Reading:
- Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner
- A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving
- something by Jodi Picoult
- Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan
- Wool by Hugh Howey
- The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
- The Uninvited Guests by Sadie Jones
- A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin (they are addictive!)
Suggestions welcome.
