Word mines

I slog away in the word mines all day (ok, most of the afternoon), and now I get to treat myself with The Avengers! BBC America is a welcome relief now.

Ripped up an old rug today, and glad to see the good wood underneath. Sort of stained, but not too bad. No worse than before. Had to get rid of the damned thing, since the non-primates of the house had decided that it wasn’t a rug but grass (it was green) and tended to treat it accordingly. Don’t let people tell you they can’t see colors!

I’m trying to think of anything else either useful or interesting that I did to tell you about… Hm, nope, that’s it. Sorry. I’ll try to be more interesting tomorrow.

  1. I love your new background image 🙂

BTW, did you run out of Vodka? I like the “faith and vodka” tagline, but I also like the “..that you are”.

    R.

  2. ME, too! It’s so classy 🙂

Anyway, I love hardwood. How exciting to find that unstead of subfloor 🙂

  3. Thanks, Ruben! No, didn’t run out of vodka; just didn’t want to look like an ad for alcoholism any more 😛 I’m terribly tempted to put it back up. Nothing else seems to have that zing.

Yup, Rae, that hardwood was one of the main selling points of the house for us, when we were in the market. And it’s good, old-fashioned hardwood too… 1926. When people say, “They don’t build them like they used to,” this is what they meant (er, by the “like they used to” part).
